Ford Gum Machine Serial Numbers
Ford stainless steel Gum Ball Machine with globe glass top and the original decal. Serial number at coin slot is 'C045370'. Name plate on front of machine reads 'Manufactured by Ford Gum & Machine Co., Akron, New York', and 'Ford Gum' appears in raised lettering at the outlet hole. The machine is approximately 12 inches tall and the glass globe is about 8 inches in diameter. Overall condition is very good consistent with its age and it is in working order, but it is missing the original key and it has a crack in the plastic cover over the exit hole (still solid but crack shows in the light). The lock pins appear the have been broken because it opens without the original key. I am assuming that it is broken anyway, since I was able to open the lock with just a small screwdriver inserted part-way into the key hole. With a key (or in this case with a small screwdriver) inserted, the lock barrel can be unscrewed to release the locking bar (which has threads on either side that the lock barrel screws onto, holding everything together). After opening the gum ball machine, I used a marble to verify that a penny in the coin slot would operate the dispensing wheel and drop a gum ball (or in this case a marble) down into the output chute, which it did.
This item is limited to U.S. sales only.
The stuff below is for sale. I describe items as accurately and objectively as I can, especially pointing out anything not working, not original, or invisible to anyone viewing online rather than in person. Spiderman games for pc download. You can't inspect it from afar, so I do it from anear and tell you about it.
I price items according to quality, perceived demand and 'market value,' and my cost. I rarely charge way more than I paid, often charge a little more or just what I paid, and will sometimes charge less if market price has slipped since I bought it or if the item was, for example, an ebay purchase that wasn't quite what I thought it'd be. That's my mistake, not yours. I may lower the price of an item if it's been posted for awhile or if I become more motivated to sell it, but I may also change my mind, put it back on a shelf, and delete the item's 'for sale' page altogether. What can I say?---I'm fickle.
Prices do not include shipping unless stated otherwise. U581 software update. I usually ship by FedEx Ground because it's usually the least expensive method and they do a good job, and because UPS lost my love when they went to a steeply escalated price structure based on 'dimensional weight' and I found that a one-half inch difference in the length of one axis could double the 'weight' and dramatically increase my cost to ship the item. When I find out where you want it shipped I'll add the estimated shipping to that location, and your total will be the price of the item plus shipping. If you want to pick it up just north of Indianapolis or if you want me to deliver it to the Chicagoland show, then there's no charge for shipping.
You have 7 days to return an item if you're not satisfied. Simply ship it back to me and I'll refund your purchase price. If I described the item accurately but you changed your mind, then shipping both ways is on you. If I described the item inaccurately, then shipping both ways is on me.
